As a complete greenhorn, I naturally started off by practicing some of my favorite songs by such great artists as U2, Joan Baez, Kris Kristofferson, Sheryl Crow, Metallica, Radiohead, Jason Isbell (and if you think this is quite a jumbled hotchpotch, you haven't even seen half the list...).But of course my guitarist (yeah, need one - who of you really believed that I'd actually learn to play well enough within a couple of months?) isn't too happy with covering other people's songs (no matter how great they are) and suggested writing our own stuff. So a little update on my progress so far... I designed this page, joined Twitter and found out how to set the Facebook settings in a way that keeps the NSA at bay (yeah, as if anything really could...). Then I remembered that all of this actually should be about the music ;) so I grabbed my guitar and practiced till my fingers hurt (which unfortunately does not describe a very long period of time, and I'm dreading the steel strings on the other guitar... Yes, I'm a sissy, I know.) ... I'll write again when my fingers stop hurting…

After ma-hany years of   "I really wanna get out there and sing"  you are the first to get to know about this: I'm really gonna do it!
