Starry, starry night Paint your pallet blue and grey Look out on a summer's day with eyes that know the darkness in my soul... Like the strangers that you've met The ragged men in ragged clothes The silver thorn, a bloody rose - lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow Now I think I know what you tried to say to me And how you suffered for your sanity, and how you tried to set them free They would not listen - they're not listening still Perhaps they never will #Don McLean
Suzanne
... And she shows you where to look Among the garbage and the flowers There are heroes in the seaweed There are children in the morning They are leaning out for love And they will lean that way forever While Suzanne holds the mirror And you want to travel with her And you want to travel blind And you know that you can trust her For she's touched your perfect body with her mind #Leonard Cohen
So damn hard
But if you don't want me aroundI'll do my best to keep in the backstreetsAnd hide beneath the city's heat'Til I roll outI never meant to cause you any painTo cause you any sufferingI'll shut my goddamn mouthBecause it's so damn hard to be anything to anyoneAll the time #Arliss Nancy
What a view …
... and Aynsley Lister is playing Purple Rain on the iPod ...
The sweetest sadness in your eyes, clever trick …
So you're gone and I'm haunted And I bet you are just fine Did I make it that easy To walk right in and out of my life? #FineFrenzy
The weary kind
Your body achesPlaying your guitar and sweating out the hateThe days and the nights all feel the sameWhiskey has been a thorn in your sideand it doesn't forgetthe highway that calls for your heart insideAnd this ain't no place for the weary kindAnd this ain't no place to lose your mindAnd this ain't no place to fall behindPick up your crazy heart and give it one more try... #Ryan Bingham
We did it when we were young
There are no reasons to believe, I buried my faith in another plotWhere your heart and your claws will not findAnd I don't feel you or recall, I put your bones out in the yardFor someone else to be called and caught byAnd I cannot hold a candle for every pretty gunWe were strangers many hours and I missed you for so longWhen we were lions, lovers in combatFaded like your name on those jeans I burnedBut I am older nowAnd we did it when we were youngI am older nowAnd we did it when we were young... #The Gaslight…
Hippie songs
Watched the great movie Into The Wild lately (great pictures, fantastic landscape, true story). With the perfect soundtrack by Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam, of course (who of you didn't know that??)). Watching Kristen Stewart perform the hippie songs made me long for the campfire flower power -- so I got out those Kris Kristofferson and Joan Baez songs :)Spent a lazy holiday monday playing the good old hippie and folk songs...
