Plans for 2017

Last year was a lot about playing piano ;) getting organized (plus putting a lot of time into some not-music-related things like kids and university) and writing new songs. It was a good year, that went by so quickly, I hardly could catch some breath. Now it's time to look ahead and make exciting plans for the new year :) There are plans to spend some time in the studio in 2017 and MAN AM I LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT!!! And later in the year I definitely will be giving a couple of small concerts. Really excited to see you…

I've moved the site from Blogger to Wordpress. New look and feel :) I hope to be able to keep this more like a website here, because of the option of using a static front page (Welcome) and posting news on a secondary page (Pinboard). I hope you like the concept!

Winter Projects

As the barbeque-season is ending, the time we spend indoors can be used for more music :) So we went back to working on own songs. It's a fascinating experience, that keeps us entertained during the dark winter evenings (especially so if creativity is fueled with a glass of something high-proof).There are plans to record these own songs and compile a nice little album during the course of the next year :) I'm VERY excited!!! I'll keep you posted!

As a complete greenhorn, I naturally started off by practicing some of my favorite songs by such great artists as U2, Joan Baez, Kris Kristofferson, Sheryl Crow, Metallica, Radiohead, Jason Isbell (and if you think this is quite a jumbled hotchpotch, you haven't even seen half the list...).But of course my guitarist (yeah, need one - who of you really believed that I'd actually learn to play well enough within a couple of months?) isn't too happy with covering other people's songs (no matter how great they are) and suggested writing our own stuff. Played it till my fingers bled

So a little update on my progress so far... I designed this page, joined Twitter and found out how to set the Facebook settings in a way that keeps the NSA at bay (yeah, as if anything really could...). Then I remembered that all of this actually should be about the music ;) so I grabbed my guitar and practiced till my fingers hurt (which unfortunately does not describe a very long period of time, and I'm dreading the steel strings on the other guitar... Yes, I'm a sissy, I know.) ... I'll write again when my fingers stop hurting…

Getting started

After ma-hany years of   "I really wanna get out there and sing"  you are the first to get to know about this: I'm really gonna do it!
